The main characteristics and advantages of PEEK
High-temperature resistance: Certified by UL in the United States, the long-term operating temperature is 260℃. Even when the temperature reaches as high as 316℃, it can still maintain good mechanical properties.
Wear resistance: In many extremely harsh application environments such as high temperatures, high loads, and strong corrosion, PEEK polymers and their composite materials have excellent wear resistance.
Self-lubrication: It has a low coefficient of friction, enabling oil-free lubrication operation and can work for a long time in media such as oil, water, steam, weak acids and alkalis.
Corrosion resistance: Insoluble in common solvents, it has excellent corrosion resistance to various organic and inorganic chemical reagents.
High strength: It has relatively good mechanical strength among plastics. It also has very high rigidity and surface hardness.
Easy to process: Parts can be directly processed by injection molding technology. It can undergo post-processing such as turning, milling, drilling, tapping, bonding and ultrasonic welding.
Hydrolysis resistance: PEEK products can still operate continuously for thousands of hours without significant performance degradation when exposed to steam at temperatures exceeding 250℃ or immersed in high-pressure water.
Flame retardancy: Without the use of additives, the flammability grade of the 1.45mm thick PEEK sample sheet is UL94V-0.
Low smoke and non-toxic: The amount of smoke and toxic gas during combustion is particularly low.
Electrical performance: It can still maintain stable and excellent electrical performance within a wide range of temperatures and frequencies.
Radiation resistance: It has extremely strong resistance to high-dose gamma-ray radiation, and its mechanical properties can be fully retained, making it suitable for use as radiation-resistant parts.
 Dimensional stability
