Petroleum logging instruments are constantly exposed to high temperatures of 200℃ and high pressures of 140MPa. Their components need to maintain high reliability, and the electrical insulators should be able to be used for a long time without corrosion in the high-temperature and strongly acidic media (H2S, SO2) in the well.
PEEK has outstanding comprehensive performance, featuring wear resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, mechanical strength and stable electrical properties throughout its entire working temperature range. This helps maintain the integrity of the collected data while causing less electrical interference.
High-performance plastic parts such as high-temperature wear-resistant bushings, insulating rings, and front and rear plugs processed from PEEK and its modified composite materials can replace traditional materials like copper alloys, stainless steel, polytetrafluoroethylene, common engineering plastics, and graphite. Meeting the demanding technical requirements of oil logging and extraction equipment for parts such as wear resistance, high temperature resistance, high strength, oil-free lubrication, acid and alkali corrosion resistance, and high reliability can reduce operating costs and help the equipment achieve continuous and stable production at high capacity.
